Lydia Allen |

Lydia Allen grew up in Shanagarry and after school spent six
months working as a studio assistant at Kidogo Arts School in
Western Australia. It was here that her interest began in figurative
painting which she studied under Ian De Souza and portraiture
under Joanna Robertson.
In 2001, Lydia was accepted to study classical drawing and
painting at the Charles Cecil Studio in Florence, Italy where she
subsequently spent three years. Currently she is living in East
Cork and working on various commissions, including a portrait
for the 'Irish Painters Painting Irish Writers' collection at the
Crawford Municipal Gallery, Cork.
